Hi there, I am Vidhi Sharma!
My goal is to make it easier for everyone to stay informed about AI governance. This journey actually began with a rejection in an interview for a role related to AI policy. While disappointing at the time, that rejection turned out to be a blessing in disguise. When I later asked for feedback, the interviewer was kind enough to explain how important it is to keep track of what’s happening in this area throughout the globe. This advice sparked a realization and a new direction for my efforts.
I began writing articles on LinkedIn, focusing on policies, regulations, and governance frameworks. The response was encouraging. While I initially just wanted to gather my work and thoughts on AI governance in one place, the positive feedback on LinkedIn fueled a desire to create a dedicated space for learning and sharing knowledge with everyone. This website is my passion project, born from a commitment to stay informed and help others do the same.
Here, you can dive into Global AI Atlas (GAIA) – a Global AI Governance Tracker, which gets updated every Monday and Thursday. Gaia is a term derived from Greek mythology and is often used to refer to the personification of Earth. In cultural sense, Gaia evokes a sense of global awareness and interconnectedness, aligning well with the themes of this Global AI atlas. It is an interactive world map that shows AI governance status, updates, relevant documents and authorities of different countries. The tracker sources information primarily from the official websites of different jurisdictions and sometimes from credible magazines and digital news. You can also explore a carefully curated AI Governance library or simply drop me a message on LinkedIn to chat about the future of AI and its governance.
This is an ongoing adventure as I am still learning web development, and I’m dedicated to regular updates and interface improvements.
